The Cotton Blossom Roundup Rodeo will be held on March 25th & 26th. Cowboy Tommy Massengill and our principal, Mrs. Melton, will be involved in a competition against the other school principals to win an ice cream party for our students. More than 3,000 people attended the 2010 professional rodeo. The rodeo assisted in increasing sales and traffic at local restaurants and retailers by a minimum margin of 10% for the weekend. The rodeo received local and regional press coverage. It also had an estimated economic impact of $70,000. 100% of the proceeds from the rodeo remain local benefiting the Chamber of Commerce's Business Improvement Grant program and the Berrien County Collaborative. We will have Cowboy/girl Day on Friday, March 25 where students and teachers can dress up in cowboy/girl attire! Blog me and let me know if you are going to the Rodeo!
