Wednesday is Hump Day!

Rentz came in this morning and wanted to know what hump day was?  So we learned about the days of the week and why Wednesday is called Hump Day!!

We learned about the "nose sounds", m, n, and ng. Did you know that if you hold your nose, you cannot make these three sounds!  Write me some words with the "Nose Sounds"!

The class also learned about Schools Long Ago and Today.  Write me one thing that is different about schools long ago.

In Math, we learned "THE RULE"!  Be sure to show you parents what "THE RULE" is all about!

Long ago Rentz says there were horses and not buses to carry the children to school.

Here are some words with nose sounds:nice, mama,& niece.

One thing different about schools long ago is that they were only one room.

Please remind me about "The Rule" in math.

Good Work Rentz, Paul, and Railey! The RULE is like the work we did on our math paper today! It means you are adding the same number to a different number each time. These addition boxes do not have any signs in them, you just have to remember the RULE. You did great with this in class!

See you tomorrow!

Mrs. Hall,
I can't wait for math. Yesterday I had so much fun doing math. Today I can't wait to do math again. Sally says to say hey to you.

Today I had so much fun doing phonics! We learned "au" and "aw". Reading groups were fun too. I learned that in schools long ago pictures were colored in only black and white.
