Hump Day News

Wow!  I can't believe it's almost Thursday!  This week has just gotten away from me!  We have been extremely busy learning to test AR test on the computer!  We also started guided reading groups this week!  We now have Ms. Brenda Smith, Ms. Oveda Lee, and Ms. Mary Lou Griffin coming into our room for an hour each morning to practice reading!  Woo Hoo! 

I have NOT had a chance to listen to the STAR WORDS yet!  I'll get back on that tomorrow.  Please be patient with me.  There is only one of me with 21 little people with lots of needs!  I will start testing the 10 Vocabulary Words listed on Vocabulary and Spelling Page tomorrow, as well.

Be sure to practice the spelling words at home.  We'll have a test Friday!  We'll also do a reading theme over Schools Then and Now tomorrow.

In our Phonics, we have learned some "lifters" r and l", and today we learned about "au" and "aw".  Remember to use "au" in the beginning and middle of words and "aw" at the end of words MOST of the time!

I am enjoying my class!  They are some pretty awesome kiddos!!!
